My Story?
It's about as humble as they come.
I didn't go to a fancy school
and grew up poor in Queens, NY.
There were days I had to choose between eating and taking the train to work.
Far from glamorous, but it
was my reality.
I wanted to make shows like The Real World – and do something creative, fun, adventurous and cool.
But had no clue what that meant or where to start.
If you would have told me that in just a few years people would be saying I’m the best producer they ever worked with…
I never would have believed it!
I feel weird saying that even now.
Because I never thought I was good enough. I didn’t see myself as the smartest or having much to offer.
But I quickly went from taking any job I could get
To having my phone ringing with big job offers for big shows.
Without even applying for them.

I've looked at life from both sides now: the bottom and the top.
This career has taken me all over the world.
Given me lifelong friends.
And I even fell in love with the hot tech guy on set who’s now my husband.

HOT MESS MOMENTS ON SET!
JERSEY SHORE DECADE
-
The heartbeat of my productions is how much I genuinely care for the people I work with - both cast and crew. They're family to me. I can honestly say we spend every waking minute together for months. That means real laughs, tears, arguments and bonding. So when Nicole went into labor (both times)… I was one of the first calls and ran to the hospital in the middle of the night. I didn’t leave until we were all released together… new parents, baby and me!
-
It was a slow Sunday – and my first day off in three weeks. I was just taking a few hours in the morning to get a quick mani/pedi. But just when I put my feet in the water, my phone rang. Our Supervising Producer told me Deena just got arrested. I jumped out of the chair - apologized to the nail tech – and said “I have to go bail my kid out of jail.” They looked at me with shock and awe. I should have known… because it’s always the slow days. Like when Nicole got punched in the face. The Assistant Cameras were shooting just to practice shooting that day – we didn’t expect anything to happen at all.
-
Yes - I’ll admit it. The Jersey Shore kids were not the only ones hooking up in Seaside. I’ll keep most of the details private… but can say that I broke Ronnie’s Golden Rule… and fell in love at the Jersey Shore!
TALK SHOW YEARS
-
I don't like to name drop. It’s such an uncomfortable space for me.
But, truth is, I’ve been double elbow squeezed by LL Cool J, complemented by Madonna, had lunch with Mandy Moore, and hung out on stage with the Foo Fighters.
But the most nervous moment of all for me was standing in Jason Priestley’s living room – because he was the absolute heartthrob of the 90s and I never missed an episode of 90210. Even though I was more team Dylan McKay, all I kept thinking over and over in my head was “I can’t believe I’m talking to Brandon Walsh right now!”
THE MTV YEARS
1515 BROADWAY
-
Literally! And more than once! I’ve legit run into walls, been held up by a herd of goats blocking crew vans, hit 15 foot swells and been seasick in a control room, got locked in a bathroom and had to climb out the window, and shoveled my way out of a blizzard just so we could keep rolling. The saying “you can’t script this” is even more true behind the scenes than it is on screen.
-
Picture it – I’m on set shooting the pilot for A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila… which was a top-secret project at the time. It was so groundbreaking and hush-hush that I was the only one allowed in the tiny, cramped interview room with her. I didn’t leave… for four days!
-
I could never afford to travel out of the country until work took me there. And let’s just say… spending a week at a Swingers resort in Cancun with all my co-workers having story meetings at the breakfast buffet next to the topless pool volleyball game gave a whole new meaning to diving into my career.
